Kokomo Natives, DJ Butcher and Bo Weir, grew up playing and loving baseball right here in Howard County.
Their paths crossed later in life — not as players, but as parents and friendly rivals on the youth baseball diamonds. As we watched our own children, Quincy, Bo, and Baylor, play, grow, and fall in love with the game, something special began to take shape.
We knew we wanted to continue that relationship and keep baseball at the center of it.
DJ and his wife, Stephanie, and Bo and his wife, Tami, began dreaming about what 765 Sports Lab could be. We’re not a corporate boardroom—we’re local people who live, work, and raise our families right here in the community. Bo and Tami own Fire Pizza, Stephanie is a Western High School teacher, and DJ is a local real estate investor in downtown Kokomo. We’re parents, neighbors, small-business owners, coaches, fans, and people who genuinely love this community.
We wanted to create a place where kids could practice, teams could come together, athletes could get better, and families could enjoy the game we all love. Most of all, we wanted 765 Sports Lab to feel like a place that belongs to the community—a place where you’ll see familiar faces, make new friends, and feel right at home.
We’re excited to partner with local teams, schools, coaches, athletes, and families to provide a place for practices, training, lessons, and development. And if you’re a parent who wants to step back into the batter’s box, dust off the old swing, and relive your glory days for a little while, come on in. We’ll save you a spot.
At the end of the day, 765 Sports Lab is a family business. It’s something we’re building together, for the community that raised us and the families who call Howard County home.
Come by, say hello, bring the kids, bring your team, or just come hit a few balls.
We can’t wait to meet you at the Lab!
